4 Easy Steps to your Perfect Outdoor Living Space
At Cedarbrook, we don’t build “cookie-cutter” type outdoor living spaces because our client’s needs aren’t the same. Each space we build and design is based on our client’s goals and dreams. We’ve broken down our design/build process into four simple steps that will lead you closer to your ideal perfect outdoor living space.
I. Initial Consultation
Our custom design/build method begins with a consultation. Your dedicated designer will meet with you one-on-one or virtually to discuss your project vision. It’s important to share your project “wants” and “must haves” at this time. During our initial consultation, we need to understand your timeline and know an estimated project budget. Depending on the project scale, a Design Agreement may need to be prepared and signed. With Cedarbrook, all design/build fees are credited to your project.
Once we have established a project scope, timeline, and budget, we are ready to move to the exciting design phase of your project.
II. Design and Planning
After your initial consultation, your designer will measure your property, analyze landscaping, and examine existing structures (if necessary). Based on your project budget and the design package selected, Cedarbrook can provide you with detailed plans or a 3D rendering for review and approval. Your designer can help you with your project materials, lighting, and any other trimmings you want to include in your outdoor living space.
III. Pre-Construction
After the final construction contract has been signed and the plans have been approved by the client, the pre-construction phase begins. During this period, Cedarbrook secures all the necessary permits, and homeowners receive necessary HOA approvals. Materials are ordered, and your project scheduling begins.
When pre-construction begins, your Client Support Specialist will reach out to introduce themselves. They will be your main contact throughout the build process and are available to answer questions and guide you through your project construction.
IV. Construction
During the construction phase, your Client Support Specialist will notify you when to expect Cedarbrook crews, other contract specialists (if applicable), and inspectors at your home. You will be informed of any developments and inspection outcomes. After your project has been constructed, your Client Support Specialist will arrange a final walkthrough of your new space. Cedarbrook will register material warranties on your behalf.
At Cedarbrook, we understand the importance of your new outdoor living space investment, and we carry a 5-year craftsmanship warranty on all construction projects. Should you run into an issue or simply have a concern, all you need to do is reach out to your Client Support Specialist, and Cedarbrook will assist you. Our goal is to make your build process easy and to provide you with a breathtaking space to enjoy throughout the years.
