Our Favorite Outdoor Design
2021 Outdoor living space uptick continues…
At Cedarbrook we have seen the continued uptick in the demand for higher end outdoor living spaces. More and more homeowners are upgrading their simple decks to more elaborate spaces with unique aesthetic features. We have gathered some of our favorite outdoor design projects and living spaces. Maybe you’ll find your inspiration!
Chad’s favorite is in Germantown, MD. This project showcases a 522 sq ft deck and 266 sq ft screened porch. The decking is TimberTech Pro Storm Gray Reserve with TimberTech riser lights and post cap lighting. The real star of the show is the Synergy Wood® Southern Pine feature wall in Ebony. It changes the dynamic of the porch completely by introducing contrast and texture.
Kristen’s choice is in Bethesda, MD and has it all! It begins with Azek’s 8” English Walnut decking with a Cedarbrook rainwater diversion system and Keylink’s American aluminum railing in textured black. The screened porch features SunAir automatic Raso screens that can be raised or lowered via remote. We surrounded the fireplace with Eldorado Stone and for the hearth we’ve used Indiana Limestone. The ceiling has recessed lighting and Synergy’s Ponderosa Pine cladding in Auburn. Below deck is another outdoor living space with a flagstone patio. One amazing outdoor living space leads to another.
Michele’s 2021 pick is this 700 sq ft curvy beauty. Located in Derwood, MD, this outdoor living space is covered with Azek’s 8” Weathered Teak decking from their Vintage collection and is picture framed with their 6” Dark Hickory. The railing is Keylink’s American style aluminum railing with black square balusters and topped with Azek’s 6” Dark Hickory. A terrific safety feature are the flared stairs with riser lights.
Mike’s favorite is this stunning custom round pergola located Woodstock, MD. This was the vision of the homeowner that Mike elaborated on, but it was our team member Jose and his crew that brought it to life. The pergola was built over a 15’ round paver patio with Versatex wrapped posts and cedar wood on top.
